Grow Hope Markdale – August Harvest Celebration

  • 2 min read

Grow Hope Markdale is a local initiative with a global impact. Each year, a field is planted and harvested in Markdale, Ontario, with all proceeds going toward hunger relief around the world. The project partners with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, allowing donations to be multiplied and extend their reach.

The heart of Grow Hope is simple. Local people come together to grow a crop, and that crop helps provide food for those facing hunger. It offers a practical way for individuals, families, and churches to take part in global mission.

There are a few ways to get involved. You can sponsor an acre or a portion of an acre to help cover planting and farming costs. You can give financially toward the project. You can also take part in the Harvest Celebration, which brings the community together on the farm each year.

The Harvest Celebration takes place in Markdale and is open to everyone. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly weekend with food, music, time together, and activities on the farm. It helps people see the project up close and celebrate what God is doing through it.

Grow Hope Markdale has been running for over 25 years. It continues to show how a local church and community can respond to real needs in a practical way.
