As part of the Church of the Nazarene, the Canada Central District serves and supports local churches across Ontario. We provide leadership, training, and shared resources to help churches grow in faith and witness.
Our focus is developing pastors, strengthening congregations, and supporting Nazarene churches in living out God’s call in their communities.

The Church of the Nazarene is a global Christian family centred on Jesus Christ. Across Ontario, our churches gather for worship, preaching, discipleship, and prayer. We encourage one another in faith and serve our neighbours with humility and care.
Rooted in Scripture, we seek to reflect Christ’s compassion, live holy lives, and take part in God’s mission. As a Church of the Nazarene in Ontario, we believe faith is lived out in everyday obedience, loving service, and sharing the hope of new life in Jesus Christ.
Our Leadership
Rev. Steve Ottley, District Superintendent
Steve Ottley serves as District Superintendent for the Canada Central District of the Church of the Nazarene. Originally from Belize, Steve and his wife Pat settled in Toronto, where they raised their family and served the local church.
Steve holds a BA in Religious Studies from Ambrose University and an MA in Theology from Nazarene Theological College in Manchester, England. He has served as an associate pastor, a church planter and lead pastor, and previously as Assistant District Superintendent and Church Development Director. He was appointed District Superintendent in January 2018.
In the Church of the Nazarene, the District Superintendent provides spiritual and administrative leadership for the churches within a district. This role includes supporting pastors, overseeing church health and development, guiding ordination and credentialing processes, and helping local churches live out God’s mission together across the district.
